Cross Country Places Ninth at Asics Invitational

Fairburn, Georgia- The Golden Tigers cross-country team placed ninth in a highly competitive field at the Asics Invitational on Friday.

In the 5K race, freshman Averie Akin again paced the Golden Tigers with a time of 19:42 to place 19th overall, while fellow freshman Gladys Bianco placed 44th in a time of 21:29. Sophomore Jaeva Ridley ran 24:10 to place 77th. Freshman Alondra Rivera finished 84th in a time of 25.02 and freshman Mikhailah Hayes added a time of 26:24 to place 93rd.   

The Golden Tigers continue their season when the squad races at the Queen City Invitational on October 6th.
