Cross Country Competes at Royals Challenge

Charlotte, North Carolina- The Brenau cross country team placed tenth in a highly competitive field at the Royals Cross Country Challenge, hosted by Queens University on Saturday.

Senior Shannon Hoolahan paced the Golden Tigers with a time of 21:02.09 to place 38th out of over 150 runners. Junior Zoie Gardner also had a solid showing with a 47th place in 21:16.50 and freshman Amaranta Serna raced to a 70th place finish in a time of 22:06.30.

Other Golden Tiger finishes include sophomore Brionna Bierkamp, who placed 93rd in 22:45.70 and freshman Lahna Wempner, who finished 96th in 22:59.10.

The squad posted a total time of 1:50.10 and an average time of 22:02.10.

Davis and Elkins (WV) College took top team honors with a total team time of 1:37.16.

Brenau hosts the Brenau Invitational on October 22nd in Gainesville.
