Two Cross Country Runners Named as NAIA Scholar-Athletes
Brittany Aikens and Natalie Williams were named 2014 Daktronics-NAIA Women's Cross Country Scholar-Athletes for their outstanding academic achievement.
Aikens, a native of Braselton, Georgia, is a two-time scholar-athlete selection and a four-time national championship qualifier.
Williams, a native of Dalton, Georgia, is a first-time scholar-athlete winner.
"Brittany Aikens and Natalie Williams are not only serious runner, but set the standards for academic team excellence for the cross country team," said head coach Susan McIntyre. "I am very proud of their accomplishments".
All scholar-athlete selections must have a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.
