Brenau Runners Ready For National Championships

Two Brenau Cross Country runners will compete at the 2014 NAIA Women's Cross Country National Championships in Lawrence, Kansas on Saturday.

Senior Brittany Aikens and junior Utami Ketchem qualified for the championships by virtue of their top-five finishes at the SSAC Championships last week.

Aikens, a four-time national championship qualifier and the only four-time qualifier in Brenau cross country history, looks to close out her decorated career with a strong finish.

After last year's impressive showing at the championships, Ketchem hopes to use her experience to also finish well for the Golden Tigers.

The women's championship 5K race begins at 10:30 am CST on Saturday morning and is comprised of 84 individual runners representing 37 teams and 22 conferences.
