Cochran Named Golden Tiger of the Week

Gainesville, Ga - Senior cross country runner Audra Cochran has been selected as Golden Tiger of the Week for the second time this fall for the week of Nov. 1-8. At the SSAC conference meet this past Saturday, Audra led the team for the last time as a Brenau runner.
Audra's goal for the past two seasons was to run under a twenty minute 5K. Her time this past
Saturday was 19:57 and she placed 12th out of 77 runners in the conference meet. Cochran nearly became the first Golden Tiger runner to qualify for NAIA Nationals, but, unfortunately she missed going by three places.
"Audra is the only runner to run under 20 minutes since I have been at Brenau," said Head Coach Susan McIntyre. "I seriously doubt anyone prior to that has broken that barrier for a 5K."
Audra was also chosen for the SSAC All Academic Team and the Daktronics NAIA Scholar Athlete team this fall.
