The Brenau volleyball team defeated Bryan (Tenn.) College and Tennessee Wesleyan University to clinch a pair of back-to-back Appalachian Athletic Conference road wins this weekend.
Against Bryan (2-27 overall, 0-11 AAC), the squad swept all three matches (25-19, 25-18, 25-21) for a 3-0 win.
Junior setter Nathalia Quintero posted a match-high 30 assists and 9 digs, while senior middle hitter Claire Beckman added 9 kills and 7 digs.
The positive momentum continued against Tennessee Wesleyan as the Golden Tigers rolled to a 3-1 (25-13, 25-8, 22-25, 25-19) victory.
Freshman outside hitter Alyssa Evans led the offense with a career-best 20 kills and 13 digs. Junior hitters Ashlyn Browning and Hannah Werner posted 16 and 10 kills, respectively.
Junior libero Jomaris Maldonado led the defense with 20 digs, and Quintero posted 44 assists.
The Golden Tigers (11-8 overall, 8-3 AAC) return home to take on Columbia (S.C.) College (3-19 overall, 3-10 AAC) on Tuesday at 6:30 pm Eastern.
