Volleyball Slips Against St. Andrews in AAC Play

Laurinburg, South Carolina- The Brenau volleyball team fell in four sets to St. Andrews (NC) University (23-25, 25-23, 23-25, 18-25) in Appalachian Athletic Conference play on Saturday.

The Golden Tigers lost the first set, but rallied to take the second set to even the match at 1-1. However, Brenau was unable to capitalize on the momentum as the Knights (1-11 overall, 1-0 AAC) won the final two sets to escape with the victory.

Junior Mary Ellen Enright led the offensive attack with 16 kills, while freshman Malone Davis added 11 kills.

Junior setter Gabrielle Hogle contributed 29 assists and fellow junior Julieanne Saliba had 22 digs.

Brenau (4-6 overall, 1-1 AAC) next hosts Columbia International (SC) University (7-5 overall, 1-0 AAC) at 6:30 in Gainesville.
