Volleyball Goes 2-2 at TMU Invitational

Cleveland, Georgia- The Brenau volleyball team split four matches, including wins over Faulkner (Ala.) University and Fisk (Tenn.) University at the Truett McConnell Invitational this past weekend.

In the opening match on Friday, the Golden Tigers lost the first two sets to Faulkner University, but rallied to win the final three sets to capture the victory (17-25, 19-25, 25-20, 25-16, 15-5).

In the second match on Friday, Brenau lost to Taylor (Ind.) University (14-25, 14-25, 18-25) in three sets.

On the second day of competition, the Golden Tigers lost to Keiser (Fla.) University (25-21, 19-25, 13-25, 21-25), but rallied in the final match to defeat Fisk University (25-19, 25-12, 25-15) in three sets.

Junior Mary Ellen Enright led the Brenau attack with 44 total kills, while fellow junior Julieanne Saliba notched 90 digs in four matches.

Brenau (3-5 overall) next hosts Truett McConnell (Ga.) (2-6 overall) to open Appalachian Athletic Conference play on Thursday at 6:30 pm in Gainesville. Livestream of the match is available here. No spectators will be allowed at this event.
