Volleyball Announces 2021 Schedule

Gainesville, Georgia- Head coach Michael Carter has announced the 2021-22 volleyball schedule.

Senior middle hitters Rachel Hodges and TyLeeah Maddox lead a group of eight returners from last year's squad, including junior libero Julieanne Saliba and sophomore outside hitter Chloe Bennett. The team adds three transfers and one freshman, as junior outside hitter Mary Ellen Enright and setter Gabrielle Hogle, sophomore Virginia Vorel and freshman right side hitter Malone Davis join the Golden Tigers.

Additionally, the team was voted 12th in the 2021 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Volleyball preseason poll.

The squad garnered 65 points in the poll as defending AAC tournament champions, Reinhardt (Ga.) University earned top honors.

The team opens the season at the Life University Running Eagles Classic against Florida National University on August 27th. Conference play will begin on September 9th against Truett McConnell (Ga.)
