Volleyball Falls to Truett McConnell in AAC Play
Gainesville, Ga. – Offensive woes plagued the Brenau volleyball team in a three-set loss (11-25, 15-25, 17-25) to Truett McConnell (Ga.) College in an Appalachian Athletic Conference matchup on Tuesday.
The visiting Bears (4-6 overall, 2-1 AAC) outhit the Golden Tigers, posting 31 kills to 19 kills and an attack percentage of .230 to .011 in the match. For Truett, this was the team's second consecutive AAC victory after defeating Columbia (S.C.) College in three sets (25-18, 25-16, 25-13) on Saturday.
Nitaira Wilkes led Brenau with 10 assists, while Rachel Hodges contributed four kills and eight digs.
Harris Anne Walker posted a game-high 11 kills for the visiting Bears.
Brenau (1-10 overall, 1-2 AAC) next travels to Tennessee Wesleyan University (0-7 overall, 0-2 AAC) for a conference matchup at 6:30 pm on Friday. The host Bulldogs fell to AAC newcomer Kentucky Christian College (25-15, 22-25, 21-25, 12-15) this past Saturday.
