Volleyball Falls To Reinhardt and Faulkner

The Brenau volleyball team lost a pair of matches against Reinhardt (Ga.) University and Faulkner (Ala.) University on Saturday in Waleska, Georgia.

Against Reinhardt, the Golden Tigers fell 15-25 and 11-25 in the first two sets, but responded with a close 21-25 third set. Brenau struggled to generate offense, posting an .069 hitting percentage in the match.

In the second match against Faulkner, the squad fell in three sets 16-25, 14-25 and 14-25. The young Golden Tigers improved their hitting percentage to 0.159, however, were unable to generate enough consistent hitting to defeat the Eagles.

Nitaira Wilkes led Brenau with 15 assists in the Faulkner match.

Brenau (1-10 overall, 0-1 AAC) plays their first home match of the season against Point (Ga.) University (7-7 overall, 1-0 AAC) at 6:30 on Tuesday in Gainesville.
