Volleyball Rolls Past Middle Georgia

The Brenau volleyball team overwhelmed visiting Middle Georgia State in three sets to win their second conference match of the season on Thursday in Gainesville.

After a tightly contested 25-22 first set, the Golden Tigers found their offensive rhythm as seniors Jasmine Jones and Pamela Konken combined for 27 kills to help close out the match 25-14 and 25-18. Jones also added a season high 17 digs.

Setter Savannah Wilbanks added 33 assists, while libero Carlee Praznik chipped in 12 digs. Nicole Ighile had eight kills and Haley Ponder earned six kills in the match.

Brenau (4-13 overall, 2-6 SSAC) next hosts Brewton Parker (Ga.) College on Friday at 7 pm.
