Volleyball Falls in Five to Dalton State

The Brenau volleyball team pushed Southern States Athletic Conference foe Dalton State (Ga.) College, but lost a close 3-2 match against on Tuesday in Dalton, Ga.

After coming out flat and dropping the first match 8-25, the Golden Tigers picked up the pace in the second set with a 25-17 win to even the match.

The Roadrunners cruised to a 11-25 third set victory, but again Brenau rallied with a strong 25-16 fourth set to send the match to a fifth set.

In the final frame, Dalton State rallied to a 5-15 win to secure the win.

Tiffany Ozieh tied her season-high with 10 kills to lead the Golden Tigers, while Sydney Koon notched a game-high 14 digs. Cayla Graham and Carlee Praznik added 12 and 10 digs respectively.

Brenau (9-17, 3-11 SSAC) next travels to Brewton Parker (Ga.) College on Friday for a 7 pm match.
