Volleyball Falls to Milligan in Four Sets
The Brenau volleyball team pushed Milligan (Tenn.) to a tough four sets but was unable to capture the victory in a 3-1 loss in Milligan College, Tenn. on Wednesday.
After a lackluster 17-25 first set loss, the Golden Tigers jumped out to an 18-14 second set lead. However, the home team rallied with six straight points to go ahead 20-14. After retaking the lead 24-23, the Golden Tigers were unable to hang on, falling 26-28 and in a two sets to none deficit.
In the third set, the Golden Tigers found their stride and won the third set 25-22 to cut the Milligan lead in half. Brenau pushed the fourth set to 24-24, but the Buffs closed out the match 26-24 for the win.

"Even though we lost in four sets, we played pretty well," said head coach Michael Carter. "I was pleased with some of the things that transferred from practice to game, but just didn't have enough for the win."
Brenau (8-14, 2-8 SSAC) returns to conference play on Friday when the Golden Tigers play host to University of Mobile (RV) at 7 pm eastern.
