Volleyball Overwhelms LaGrange 3-0

The Brenau volleyball team overwhelmed non-conference LaGrange (Ga.) College in three sets on Tuesday in Gainesville.

The visiting Panthers kept the first set close, but the Golden Tigers pulled away 25-20. In the second set, Brenau imposed their will to take the set 25-13 and finished off the match 25-18 in the final set.

The Golden Tigers team hitting percentage was a season-high .348% as Sydney Koon and Jasmine Jones combined for 29 kills. Pam Konken notched 23 assists, while Bailey Hicks added 11 assists to the win.

"Our serve receive was very solid throughout the evening," said head coach Michael Carter. "It really allowed us to settle into a good rhythm."

Brenau (5-4, 0-0 SSAC) next hosts SSAC foe Martin Methodist (Tenn.) College on Friday at 7 pm eastern.
