Volleyball Shows Well At Faulkner Invitational
On the second day of the Faulkner Invitational, the Brenau volleyball team split two games to wrap up a solid weekend of play.
Against Southeastern (Fla.) University, the Golden Tigers swept all three sets, 25-18, 25-22, 28-26, to secure their fourth win of the year. In the finale, Brenau struggled against Webber International (Fla.), losing 23-25, 20-25, 25-23, 25-10.
Senior Sydney Koon was chosen as a member of the All-Tournament team for her performance during the tournament.
Overall, head coach Michael Carter felt very good about his team's 3-1 record over the weekend.
"This was a very successful trip," said Carter. "We made huge improvements and played technically clean volleyball."
Brenau (4-4, 0-0 SSAC) returns after a short break for their first home match against LaGrange (Ga.) College on September 15th at 7 pm.
