Volleyball Selected Seventh in Preseason Poll
The 2015-16 Brenau volleyball team was selected seventh in the 2015 Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Volleyball Coaches' Preseason Poll, the conference announced Thursday.
After graduating five players from the 2015 team, the squad returns eight players from last year, including first-team SSAC selection Sydney Koon and second-team All-SSAC and All-Freshman performer Cayla Graham.
Defending SSAC champions Coastal Georgia claimed all nine first-place votes and 81 total points as the conference favorite. University of Mobile, last year's second place team, was picked second with 70 points, while Faulkner (Ala.) University garnered 58 points.
Dalton State (Ga.) (53 points), Bethel (Tenn.) (42 points) and Loyola (La.) (35 points) rounded out the top six of the preseason poll.
