The Brenau Golden Tiger volleyball team was defeated in four sets by conference opponent Faulkner University, 25-21, 19-25, 17-25, 15-25.

After a taking the first set, the Golden Tigers kept close, but couldn't capitalize on their opportunities to take the match.

Senior Ellen Lemos (Belo Horizonte, Brazil) led the Golden Tigers with 11 kills and added 15 digs, while junior Rachel Adam (Athens, GA) contributed nine kills and three solo blocks.

Freshman setter Courtney Deason (Pensacola, FL) added 29 assists and 10 digs.

Chelsea Foster (Roswell, GA) led the Golden Tigers with 23 digs, while Pam Konken (Stockbridge, GA) added 14.

"We were outplayed by a good Faulkner team tonight," said head coach Jeff White. "They [Faulkner] played with energy, passion, and trust and we did not match it."

The Golden Tigers return to the court when they host non-conference opponent Talladega College on Tuesday night at Brenau. The match begins at 7:00 eastern.
