Frady's 13 Kills Leads Tigers to Win

Gainesville, Ga. - Senior Courtney Frady (Ellijay) had another big night for the Tigers with 13 kills to help Brenau defeat Southern Wesleyan 3-1 by scores of 25-22, 25-22, 21-25, 25-23 in SSAC Volleyball action tonight. BU moves to 5-23 and 2-7 with the win and SWU drops to 16-9, 3-4.
Frady added four assists and two digs and got plenty of help from her friends to pull out the four set victory. Junior Alexis Arthur had a great night with 12 kills and 20 digs and Sophomore Melissa Thornton was equally impressive with 12 kills and 17 digs. Mekenna Cipres had 19 assists and six service aces and Kerry Abernathy had 20 assists. Libero Danelle Russell continued her conference leading pace with 23 digs as the Tigers put together four solid games to prevail in this one.
Brenau will venture out of conference play for the last time on Nov. 2 when they travel to Waleska to take on Reinhardt. The regular season will come to a close next Saturday when the Tigers will say farewell to their seniors in a SSAC match with Brewton Parker.
