Brenau Volleyball Adds Woodstock MVP

Gainesville, Ga- Melissa Thornton, the Most Valuable Player for Woodstock High School last season, has signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at Brenau University this fall. Thornton will play the Outside Hitter position for the Tigers and plans to major in Biology. She received the Principal's Award and Academic Award in high school and competed for the A-5 Club Volleyball Team in addition to her high school team. Thornton is the daughter of Mark Thornton and Jean Lucas.
