Kitson Represents Track and Field at the 2026 NAIA National Championships
Asheville, North Carolina- Sophomore Madison Kitson represented the Golden Tiger track and field team at the 2026 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships held at Karl Straus Track on Wednesday and Thursday.
In her second national championship appearance, Kitson competed in three events- long jump, triple jump and the 200 meters- and showcased her talents on the national stage.
Kitson placed in the top-20 in two events to solidify her place among the nation's best. In the long jump, Kitson finished 13th overall with a mark of 5.64 meters. In the triple jump, she also performed well by jumping 11.19 meters to earn 17th place. The San Antonio, TX. native also placed 32nd in the 200 meters with a time of 25.33.
In total, Kitson wrapped up a stellar sophomore campaign highlighted by being named as the 2026 Most Outstanding Athlete at the 2026 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Indoor Track and Field Championships and the 2026 AAC Outdoor Track and Field Most Valuable Player.
