Kitson Secures Track Field Athlete of the Week Honors

Waleska, Georgia- Sophomore Madison Kitson earned Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Field Athlete of the Week honors for the week of March 22nd-28th. 

Kitson had a stellar outing at the Emory Thrills in the Hills meet by winning two field events for the Golden Tigers. In the triple jump, Kitson leapt 11.89 meters to secure first place out of 22 competitors. She continued her dominant performance in the long jump where she bested 32 athletes to take top honors with a leap of 5.83 meters. 

This is Kitson's first AAC Player of the Week award this season. The San Antonio, Texas native won two player of the week awards during the indoor season earlier this year.
