Track and Field Signs Daniels

The Brenau track and field team announces the signing of Ayana Daniels to the 2015-2016 team.

Daniels, a native of Snellville, Georgia, is a standout athlete and graduate of South Gwinnett High School. During her senior season, Daniels placed fifth at the Georgia High School State Championships in the pole vault with a mark of 10'6". In addition to vaulting, she is a strong 400 meter runner with a personal record of 1:01.63, as well as successful triple jumper with a personal best of 31'9".

"We are honored that Ayana has chosen Brenau to continue her athletic and academic careers," said head coach Rick Ludwig. "I genuinely believe she will be a 'top of the conference' vaulter in a very short time. I also believe she is a much better 400 meter athlete than she has shown so far. I cannot wait for her to join us!"
