Oslund Named SSAC Track Athlete of the Week

Elena Oslund has been selected as the SSAC Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday. Oslund was chosen for her performance during the week of March 16-22.

The junior placed among the top 15 in two events at the Emory Invitational, hosted by NCAA Division III Emory (Ga.) in Atlanta, Ga. on March 21.

The Hendersonville, N.C., native placed 14th in a 66-runner field in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 5:05.98—a Brenau program record. Oslund also finished ninth in a 68-runner field in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 18:45.96.

Oslund was the second Brenau athlete to be selected as conference athlete of the week as golfer Morgan Wood also received SSAC honors.
