Gainesville, Georgia- The Brenau tennis team continued its strong play with a 7-0 win over Truett McConnell (Ga.) University in an Appalachian Athletic Conference matchup on Wednesday.
Currently on a five-game winning streak, the squad now sits in sole possession of third-place in conference standings going into the final few weeks of the regular season.
Against Truett McConnell, the Golden Tigers swept doubles competition as all three pairings secured wins. In singles play, the squad overwhelmed the host Bears (2-9 overall, 1-4 AAC) with a clean sweep to roll to victory.
Brenau (8-4 overall, 4-2 AAC) takes a break from conference play with a trip to NCAA Division II Mars Hill (NC) (3-10 overall) for a Monday non-conference match.
