Gainesville, Georgia- The Brenau tennis team continued its strong start in conference play with a 7-0 defeat of Columbia (SC) College in Appalachian Athletic Conference play on Tuesday.
After sweeping doubles play, the Golden Tigers overwhelmed the visiting Koalas (5-4 overall, 1-3 AAC) in singles play as Kristina Radovic, Emma Ackermann, Maëlys Perle Pigeonneau, and Nadja Noriega-Alcala each won by 6-0, 6-0 scores. Manuela Giraldo and Anita Bizigato Portes also cruised to victory with scores of 6-3, 6-0 and 6-1, 6-0 respectively.
Brenau (6-4 overall, 3-2 AAC) next takes a break from conference play with a trip to Berry (Ga.) College for a 12:30 pm match on Friday.
