Gainesville, Georgia- The Brenau tennis team earned another conference victory as the squad upended Pikeville (Ky.) 7-0 in Appalachian Athletic Conference play on Saturday.
The #1 team of Kristina Radovic and Emma Ackermann started the rout with a 6-3 victory over the Bears top pairing of Geraldine Salinas and Teegan Carpenter, and then the Brenau #2 pairing of Maëlys Perle Pigeonneau and Anita Bizigato Portes followed up with a 6-1 victory over Elizabeth Davis and Grace Clark.
The #3 team of Nadja Noriega-Alcala and Bryson Bishop did not compete due to Pikeville (0-5 overall, 0-1 AAC) not fielding a third doubles team.
In singles competition, the Golden Tigers swept all four of the singles matches to complete the shutout.
