Tennis Team Receives Individual AAC Postseason Awards
Waleska, Georgia- The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) recognized members of the Brenau University tennis program for their outstanding academic and athletic performances during the 2024-25 season, the conference announced on Friday.
Senior Shaloom Delgado Forero led the Golden Tigers by being named as a 2025 AAC Women's Tennis Second Team All-Conference player for her performance during the season. The Bucaramanga, Colombia native also performed well in the classroom as she was also named to the 2025 AAC All-Academic team.
Freshman Nadja Noriega-Alcala was also recognized for her contributions to the squad by being recognized as a 2025 AAC Women's Tennis Champions of Character team. Champions of Character team members best represent the NAIA's Five Core Values of Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Sportsmanship and Servant Leadership.
Additionally, four Golden Tigers received AAC Women's Tennis All-Academic honors for their excellent work in the classroom. Joining Delgado Forero are juniors Cady Geddings and Kristina Radovic and sophomore Anita Bizigato Portes. Recipients of All-Academic honors must maintain a minimum of an overall 3.25 cumulative grade point average and have achieved at least sophomore status.
