Tennis Defeats Columbia and Cumberlands

Gainesville, Georgia-The Brenau tennis team earned an Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) victory over Columbia (S.C.) College 7-0 and another win over non-conference opponent Cumberlands (Tenn.) University 4-2 this past weekend.

Against Columbia, the Golden Tigers won matches at #1 doubles and three singles matches as the visiting Koalas struggled to fill all of the match slots. 

Against a competitive Cumberlands squad, the Golden Tigers captured victories at both two doubles matches and then outlasted the visitors in singles play to earn their third win of the season.

Brenau (3-1 overall, 2-1 AAC) next takes on AAC foe Union (Ky.) College (1-0 overall, 1-0 AAC) on Thursday at 2 pm in Gainesville.
