Zambrano Earns NAIA Tennis All-American Honors
Kansas City, Missouri- Brenau junior Juana Zambrano was named as a 2021 NAIA Women's Tennis All-American Honorable Mention, the national office announced on Tuesday.
The Lima, Peru native garnered All-American status for the second time in her Golden Tiger career as she previously received second-team All-American recognition in 2019.
"Juana is an outstanding team player,' said head tennis coach Andre Ferreira. "It's exciting to watch her play singles and doubles against the top players in the AAC and NAIA. She plays an integral role in the success of our program. She's loyal, dependable and she's developing into an excellent leader and role model. She's deserving of this award and I hope she is proud of her hard work and commitment on the court and in the classroom this season."
Zambrano is the 37th individual Golden Tiger tennis player to receive All-American honors.
