Tennis Overwhelmed By Emory
The #4 Brenau basketball team continued on their brutal early season schedule on Tuesday, falling to reigning NCAA DIII national champions, Emory (Ga.) University 9-0 in Atlanta.
The Golden Tigers lost both doubles matches, then in singles play, #5 Elizabeth Bielicki lost to Emory's Michelle Demeo to clinch the match.
"This was another rough match against a top flight opponent," said head coach Andre Ferreira. "I hope these matches will help prepare us for the tough competition ahead."
"We kick off conference play this weekend in Mobile," said Ferreira. "The tough matches continue as we play #16 Mobile, Loyola, and #12 William Carey. Then we finish off the trip with a non-conference match against #19 Xavier."
Brenau (1-7 overall) next travels to the SSAC Roundup in Mobile, Alabama to face #16 University of Mobile at 9 am and Loyola (La.) University at 3 pm.
