Tennis Runs Past Roadrunners

After taking a two-week hiatus following their successful West Coast trip, the #6 Brenau tennis team resumed their rigorous schedule against Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) opponent Dalton State (Ga.) College at Dalton Golf and Country Club on Friday.

The Roadrunners, who are receiving NAIA top-25 votes, came into the match having previously won two of their last three SSAC matches.

Brenau quickly took a 3-0 lead after doubles play, then closed out the match as Fatyha Berjane dispatched Gabbie Bordelon 6-1, 6-0. Fellow senior Kelley Cohron then closed out the match, cruising to a 6-1, 6-1 victory at #6 singles.

Brenau (7-2 overall, 3-0 SSAC) continues their SSAC slate as the team takes on Bethel (Tenn.) University at 10 am and Martin Methodist (Tenn) College at 3 pm in Dalton.
