Dickins Commits to Tennis
Brenau tennis announces the signing of Kirsten Dickens to the 2015-16 team.
Dickins, the daughter of Laura Netherton and Michael Dickins, is a native of Luton, England who attended Icknield High School.
As a player, Dickins was ranked as high as 102 nationally in the under-18 rankings. In her county, she is currently ranked second and reached the number 1 ranking in 2014. She is a member of the national premier league under-18 team that won the championship in 2013 and was the runners-up in 2014.
During her spare time, Dickins love to watch tennis, listen to music and spend time with family and friends.
When asked about joining the Golden Tigers, Dickins commented that, "Brenau has the right opportunity for my future development as an individual that combines high quality tennis with an excellent education".
Head coach Andre Ferriera said, "We had the privilege to meet Kirsten and her mom in the spring when they came to Brenau on a recruiting visit. Since we had the opportunity to spend time with her on and off the tennis court, her commitment felt like a natural fit both ways."
Dickins is the first signee for the #10 ranked Golden Tigers tennis team for 2015-16.
