Tennis Jumps To #5 in NAIA Poll
After a strong opening to the season, the Brenau tennis team jumped two spots to #5 in the latest NAIA Women's Tennis Coaches' Poll.
The squad opened the season as the seventh-ranked team in the first NAIA national poll and was rewarded for their rigorous scheduling and outstanding play with a rise in the national rankings.
Riding a five game winning streak, the Golden Tigers have four early Southern States Athletic Conference wins and a non-conference upset over #3 Xavier (La.) University.
Other SSAC teams represented in the top-25 include #3 Auburn-Montgomery (Ala.), #18 Coastal Georgia and #21 William Carey University.
Brenau (5-2, 4-0 SSAC) continues their play on March 10th when the Golden Tigers host Cumberland (Tenn.) University at 3 pm.
