#6 Tennis Falls to Top-Ranked Emory

The Brenau tennis team lost 8-1 to NCAA Division III #1 ranked Emory (Ga.) University on Saturday.

After Emory swept doubles play, the Eagles finished the match by winning singles #4 and #5 to clinch the match. Brenau's Maria Perdomo was the lone winner for the Golden Tigers at #2 singles.

"Emory is a very solid and deep team," said head coach Andre Ferreira. "These are the great matches because they push us to play our best tennis. It was fun to see some of the matches come down to details. This is what college tennis is all about. It was the best way to prepare for the upcoming SSAC matches next weekend".

Brenau next travels to Georgia Perimeter College on Tuesday for a 5:00 match.
