Golden Tigers Tennis Earns ITA All-Americans

The Brenau University tennis team gained three All-Americans when the ITA made the announcement on May 30. Zalina Nazarova, Maria Perdomo Medina and Dominika Jasova were all recognized for their respective achievements this year only days after the NAIA announcement was released. Maria Perdomo Medina will return for her senior year this fall while Jasova and Nazarova have completed their college eligibility. The complete list for both male and female recipients is below as well as qualifying rationale.

A player must meet any of the following criteria to earn ITA All-America honors:

Singles: Finish in the Top 20 of the final ITA College Tennis Rankings
Doubles: Finish in the Top 10 of the final ITA College Tennis Rankings

As the governing body of collegiate tennis, the ITA promotes both the athletic and academic achievements of varsity collegiate tennis players. The ITA, which is comprised of nearly 1,700 men's and women's varsity coaches and 20,000 student-athletes from over 1,200 institutions, has a comprehensive awards program for players and coaches to honor excellence in academics, leadership, sportsmanship and athletic performance.
