Jasova Finishes Strong at USTA/ITA Nationals

On the last day of the USTA/ITA Small College Nationals, Brenau's Dominika Jasova (Kosice, Slovakia) defeated #5 seeded Emily Spiech of Davenport University, 6-2, 6-2. Jasova finishes the tournament with a 2-1 record and an overall fifth place ranking.

"This is a very unique, one-of-a-kind event because it gives small college players (NCAA II, NCAA III, NAIA and JUCO) a chance to play amongst themselves and qualify for the NCAA I indoor nationals," said head coach Andre Ferreira. "Dominika competed really well. Even when conditions were tough, opponent was playing well and she was down during the match, Dominika just pushed herself to the limit. She changed her game and adapted not only once but several times throughout the tournament".
