Cohron Signs with Brenau Tennis

Cohron is Coach Andre Ferreira's first signee from the state of Georgia and brings an impressive list of accolades with her to the 2012/13 tennis squad. Those accolades include her nomination to this year's Gainesville Times All-Area team. Cohron was twice the recipient of the Buford High School Coach's Award- in both 2007/08 and also in 2010/11. In the same year (2010), Cohron was named to the Gwinnett Daily Post Honorable-Mention team. She brings an overall record of 43-24 and was the recipient of the 2009/10 Sportsmanship Award at Buford HS.

In addition to her many accomplishments on the tennis court, Cohron has been equally active pursuing her academic interests at Buford HS. She is a member of the Spanish Club and an active member of the Thespian Society. She has been involved as a member of Buford's student-athlete leadership team and has performed as a volunteer for both the Atlanta Falcons physical therapy center and a local Buford thrift store.

Coach Andre Ferreira is excited about his newest addition to the squad and had this to say,

"We are delighted to have Kelley join our tennis program next year. Kelley has had an outstanding tennis career at Buford High School, a school with tremendous tradition in tennis and overall athletics. But in addition to being a great player, she has the attitude, passion for tennis, and charisma we look for in our recruits. Brenau tennis is lucky to have her."
