Choo Advances to Semi-Finals at ITA Regionals

New Orleans, La - Brenau senior Lyn See Choo, seeded #3 at the ITA Regional Tournament, behind Ana Veselenovic (AUM and Jade Curtis (AUM), had two good wins today to advance to the semi-finals. In the second round Choo beat Petra Pasic of Willliam Carey 6-3, 7-5 after being 5-3 down in the second set. She then had a long match with Daniela Vukadnovic, an Auburn transfer now representing SCAD-Atlanta. Lyn See fought through some long baseline rallies to finally emerge victorious 6-4, 6-3. Kate Mazackova won her first round 6-1, 6-4 over Lynne Fritscher of Spring Hill but ran into a very much in form, Maja Plavsic of SCAD-Atlanta, another transfer player from Oklahoma Christian. Kate played well but was out hit by Plavsic 6-1, 6-2In doubles action Mazackova and Choo are seeded number 2 (they won this event last year). They made short work of Pasic and Olveira of William Carey 8-3 to advance to the semi-finals tomorrow where they will face AUM's number 2 team.
