Bio

Mandi Bell enters her 2nd year as head coach at Brenau University. 

Previously, Bell coached with a number of organizations, including Excel Aquatics, Dekalb Aquatics, Swim Atlanta, Dynamo, and US Aquatics Club. She has coached club swimmers to Senior National and Olympic Trials levels and has coached Masters swimming for beginners, triathletes, and former club and college swimmers as well. In 2014, Bell was voted Coach of the Year by the Atlanta Swim Association and in 2020, helped coach the Chamblee High School girls’ team to a GHSA 5A Championship.

As a swimmer, Bell competed for Nashville Aquatics Club and was a top 16 age group swimmer and Senior National Qualifier. She has competed in a number of triathlons and open water swims, including the 12.5 mile Swim Around Key West.

Bell also runs a non-profit organization that helps fund swim lessons for children whose families cannot afford swim lessons. She is passionate about helping to reduce the drowning rates in the community and teaching lifeguarding and CPR through the American Red Cross, Starguard, and the American Heart Association. She is a certified LGIT, LGI, BLS Instructor and CPO. In her free time she enjoys freediving and SCUBA diving.

A graduate from Middle Tennessee State University, Bell resides in Atlanta with her husband and two of their four children. Her older son attends and swims for Cal Berkeley and his twin sister attends and swims for Eastern Michigan University.
