Swim Competes at Emmanuel Invitational

Franklin Springs, Georgia- The Brenau swim team earned a second place finish at the Emmanuel College January Invitational this past weekend.

Individually, freshman Cloe Barthelemy captured top honors in the 50 freestyle with a time of 25.82. The Mus, France native also earned a fourth place finish in the 100 butterfly in 1:03.93.

Sophomore Emily Giles also had a solid day in multiple events as she earned fourth place in the 100 breaststroke (1:29.85), fifth place in the 100 freestyle (1:04.86) and sixth place in the 50 freestyle (28.61).

In the relays, the 200 medley relay of Callie Edens, Haley Bartoletta, Bayley Blackmon and Melanie Wicht earned a second place finish in 2:01.67.

Bartoletta and Blackmon paired with Cloe Barthelemy and Vivianne Funes in the 200 freestyle relay to earn second place in a time of 1:51.21.

Bayley Blackmon, third place, 100 freestyle, 58.18;

Callie Edens, fourth place, 100 backstroke, 1:08.41; seventh place, 50 freestyle, 28.62;

Vivianne Fuentes, fifth place, 200 freestyle, 2:32.30; fifth place, 100 backstroke, 1:20.04;

Melanie Wicht, fourth place, 200 freestyle, 2:16.43; sixth place, 100 butterfly, 1:07.87;

The Golden Tigers next hit the pool against Converse College on January 29th in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
