Swimming Fifth in First NAIA Poll
The Brenau swim team was voted fifth in the first 2016-17 NAIA Women's Swimming and Diving Coaches' Top 25 Poll, released by the national office on Friday.
The Golden Tigers finished ninth in the postseason 2015-16 poll, and now find themselves inside the top five for the fourth consecutive year.
The squad returns All-Americans Courtney Hayward and Lindsay Dowling, plus eight other talented letter winners.
Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) received nine first place votes to top the poll, while reigning NAIA champions, SCAD-Savannah, received the other remaining first place vote. Biola (Calif.), Cumberlands (Ky) and the Golden Tigers rounded out the top five.
