Toussaint Commits to Swimming
The Brenau swim team announces the signing of Yanne Toussaint to the 2016-17 team.
Toussant, the daughter of Yvonne Weening and Roland Toussaint, is from The Netherlands and was an exchange student and standout swimmer at Colony High School in Palmer, Alaska and with the WWSC club team.
During her career, Toussaint was ranked in the top eight in Alaska in both the 50 and 100 freestyle.
When asked about her commitment to Brenau, Toussaint noted, "I am proud and excited to join the team. I'm looking forward to swimming and receiving a good education."
Head coach Nate Rhoads says, "We're so excited to add Yanne to the team! She had an amazing short course season this year and continues to improve and get faster. I believe she'll thrive in Brenau's swimming environment and has the potential to be one of the top swimmers on the team. "
Toussaint, who plans on majoring in Marketing, joins Anna Rose as the first two commits of 2016-17 for the #3 ranked Golden Tigers.
