Hayward Named ASC Swimmer of the Week

Brenau swimmer Courtney Hayward was named Appalachian Swimming Conference (ASC) Swimmer of the Week for her performance at the SCAD Invitational.

At the SCAD Invitational, Hayward won both the 1650 Freestyle with a time of 16:56.92 setting a new school record, and the 500 Freestyle in 5:00.63. The Townsville, Austrailia native also had season bests in the 200 freestyle (1:52.89), which was also a new school record, the 400 IM (4:30.06) and the 100 Freestyle (53.72). Hayward was also great on the relays as well splitting 1:55.10 in the 800 Freestyle (3rd, anchor), 25.28 in the 200 Freestyle (5th, lead-off), 53.66 in the 400 Medley (1st, FR), 24.78 in the 200 Medley (2nd, FR), and 53.61 in 400 Freestyle (3rd, anchor).
