3-Time NJCAA All American Tranfers Sign with Brenau

Shelby Rumker of Douglas, Ga. has committed to swim with the Brenau University Golden Tigers in Fall 2013. A transfer from South Georgia College, Shelby brings two years of college swimming experience and numerous accolades, including five SGC team records and earned All American status in three individual events. Coach CM Jenkins coached Shelby since the young age of 8 and recruited her to the two-year institution, before signing with Brenau.

At NJCAA Nationals in 2012, Rumker placed 6th in the 50 FR (24.95), 6th in the 100 BK (59.81) and 6th in the 200 BK (2:11.72). She is a 3-time All American in NJCAA.

At Brenau, Rumker plans to pursue a degree as a physician's Assistant, and when asked why she chose Brenau, Shelby said, "I believe Brenau has a great academic program that will benefit me tremendously, and also has an amazing swim program that made it possible for me to attend school. I can't wait to become a student at Brenau and call myself a Golden Tiger!"
