Hannah Boudreaux Named Swimmer of the Week
Senior, Hannah Boudreaux (Lafayette, La.) has been voted by the Appalachian Swimming Conference coaches as the Swimmer of the Week.
Boudreaux placed first in four events against in leading the Golden Tigers to a second place finish at the Converse Invitational. The senior touched first in the 200 Butterfly (2:10.95), 1650 Free (17:56.63), 400 IM (4:44.37) and 500 Free (5:22.28). She also led-off the victorious 400 Free Relay (56.06 lead-off) and anchored the winning 400 Medley Relay. Boudreaux has now qualified for the NAIA National Championships in the 100 free, 200 free, 500 free, 1650 free, 200 fly, 200 IM and 400 IM.
In the past two years, Boudreaux has led the Golden Tigers at both, the conference and national levels, while setting four individual Brenau records. She is a two-time ASC Conference Champion and record holder in the 200 IM and 400 IM, and one time winner of the 200 Butterfly.
On the national level, she saw success in 2011 placing seventh in the 400 IM (4:35) and fifth in the 200 Butterfly (2:07). Boudreaux outdid herself at the NAIA National Championships in 2012, placing second in the 200 Butterfly (2:05) and 400 IM (4:28), following with a third place finish in the 200 IM (2:06). Now, she boasts the title of NAIA All American, as well as CSCAA All American. This year Boudreaux is proud to represent the Brenau swim team as a co captain, alongside teammate sophomore, Michelle Billeaud from Lafayette, La.
