Appalachian Swim Conference Pre-Season Coaches Poll Released
Brenau achieved a program best 6th place finish in 2012 and returns five swimmers from a team that broke 15 records and produced two All-Americans.
The Wheeling Jesuit Cardinal men and women have been voted to repeat as champions of the Appalachian Swimming Conference for 2013. Each team received the full complement of first-place votes in the ASC's inaugural pre-season poll. On the women's side, Asbury College (Ky.) is picked to finish second, and Notre Dame College (Ohio) is picked to finish third; this order reflects the order of finish from 2012.
The Golden Tigers are coming off of their first meet victory after beating both host Mars Hill College (N.C.) and Milligan College (Tenn.) in last week's season opener. The Brenau swim team returns to action next weekend when they head to Spartanburg, S.C. to compete in the Converse College Women's Invitational.
