Watkins Signs with Golden Tigers

GAINESVILLE GA - Brenau Swimming announces the signing of its third recruit for fall of 2012, Ali Watkins of Grayson, GA. Ali currently attends Grayson High School and competes with year-round club team Summit Chase Aquatics. Swimming competitively since the age of 4 through high school, Ali has qualified for the Georgia High School State Championships the past three years and earned varsity letters for her talents in the pool. She was recently named "Swimmer of the Month" in January 2012 by Summit Head Coach, Humphree Frasier.

In addition to her swimming accolades, Ali has been involved with her church as a member of the leadership council, small group leader for 6th graders, and attended a mission trip in the Bahamas in summer of 2011. She enjoys giving back to her community by teaching swim lessons at the Summit Chase Country Club and coaching the club's Spring League. At school, she is a member of DECA, Relay For Life and the Best Buddies Program.
