Brenau Finishes in 13th Place at Nationals

St. Peters, Mo- The NAIA Swimming and Diving Championships concluded today and the Brenau Golden Tigers finished in 13th place out of 25 teams with 52 points. In events that were conducted today, Lucianne Kimura placed 12th in the 200 Back with a time of 2:12.41 and Lauren Harville clocked a 18:58.09 in the 1650 Free to finish in 21st position. The 400 Free Relay team of Kimura, Ana Galesic, Julia Ferreira and Mairi Morrison came in 12th in a time of 3:44.24.
The Daktronics Scholar Athletes were also announced today and graduate student Mafubo Ujeneza was on the list of 55 swimmers that made the team. Brenau finished in 19th place in last year's championships so this effort represents considerable improvement for the program as Coach Gabby Matthews continues to build a quality swimming program.
