Soccer Shuts Out Columbia; Wins Third Straight Match
Columbia, South Carolina- A lone goal from freshman Hannah Listwin and another strong defensive effort propelled the Brenau soccer team to its third consecutive Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) shutout with a 1-0 victory over Columbia (S.C.) College on Saturday.
The two teams battled to a stalemate for over 70 minutes until Listwin beat Koala keeper Amorie Kostelak for the go-ahead goal to give the Golden Tigers a late lead. The defense continued its stalwart play as the back end held fast for the final 17 minutes to seal the victory.
